Written after watching images of the unsuccessful attack on the Capitol building in January 2021, An Unfinished Rhyme is written for marimba-vibe, with an optional vocal part (to be sung by the performer or a soprano vocalist). The words are those of Ring-a-ring-o’-Roses. This piece may also be performed as a solo marimba-vibe work, by simply omitting the soprano part.
