‘The Esky’ is in Bayswater, Perth, and is where I practise and teach. My percussion students range from young beginners to advanced tertiary students (WA Conservatorium of Music at UWA, and WAAPA at Edith Cowan University). Whilst I’ve spent the last few years focussed on the marimba-vibe repertoire, I love introducing students to other areas of percussion, including jazz vibes and congas (I completed the FolkCuba course in Havana before attending Carnivale in Brasil - learning from the people who live and breathe this wonderful music!).
